The new moon which will occur in Aries this Thursday at 12:06 PM Eastern US time is a profound opportunity to charge ahead in new adventures and let go of habits, objects and people that are holding us back.  The psychic high tide created at this time will give us enough cosmic support to magnify our intentions exponentially, so state out loud your intentions for change on the day of or within a couple of days before or after the new moon.

The recent vernal equinox brought an influx of new energy and balance into our lives, and the current new moon gives us an opportunity to direct this energy.  Keep in mind however that since Venus is currently in retrograde it is important for us also to look below the surface of our experience and be honest about what’s really going on in our lives.  Especially in relational and financial matters, be clear about what you want to create and what you’re willing to let go of.

I’m growing especially fond of Aries moons since I experienced a huge personal breakthrough during the full moon in this sign last year, and another one now which I believe is connected to the upcoming new moon.

Peace and happiness to all of you!

Today’s full moon at 10:38 PM Eastern US time is in the perfectionist sign of virgo, which can make us all too aware of gaps between our desires and our current reality.  Full moons are times of heightened spiritual energy, which we can harness by setting new goals and embarking on new life paths.

Have you been wanting to get organized or start a new routine?  The Virgo moon is an ideal time to take those steps.  If you act within the next 2-3 days you’ll have an abundance of heavenly support behind your actions and can quickly manifest major changes in your life, although it may take time before you see the full effects of those changes.  Give added power to your intentions by writing them or speaking them out loud, or you might broadcast them to the universe by posting them in a reply here

These photos are from my June-July 2008 Qigong and internal martial arts study tour in Hubei province

The image above is the front entrance to the Buddhist temple where I stayed for most of the trip.  We actually went in through a gate to the left most of the time.  The two dragons atop the roof were a very common feature of temples, shrines and tombs in the area, and the red/yellow color scheme was the same as the other Buddhist temple we visited.  The temple was 1,500 years old and had been re-opened in 2003 by one of my Qigong teacher’s long-time students

These Buddhas occupied the central worship area of the temple’s largest room, which also contained several other individually placed idols.  The offerings in the front provide a sense of scale

Statues of Boddhisattva’s, similar to saints in the catholic church.  The man who sculpted them was staying at the temple during our visit.  I recommended clicking on the picture to see the larger version and being open to receiving their blessings

This video clip once again features the White Oak from the “Sacred Healing Portals”, as well as the first appearance on this blog of my friend Devon who is practicing Qigong under the energetic influence of this magnificent tree.  I feel that the energy of this tree is so special that it can have life-changing influence on people who enter its vicinity, or even for those who view images of it.
